This post is just an update. As you might have noticed, I haven’t posted for a while. Nothing to be alarmed about. I’m back now. And I’ve got several posts already written and in the que. I’ve had several significant developments in my professional/academic life that I’ve been thinking through lately, and I wasn’t completely sure about how much public disclosure I wanted to offer. Now I know the extent to which I’m ready (at least for now) to write about this stuff.
I also want to put to rest, right now, any suspicions that I might be hinting at some sort of interpersonal tension. Not at all. I can’t think of a single person in the last several months who hasn’t been completely respectful and generous to me professionally. Especially those people with whom I’ve been working most closely. Nope. The stuff I’ve been thinking through deals with coming to terms with stuff about me.
So here are a few (relatively) major developments in my academid/professional/digital world:
1. Probably changing the focus of my dissertation topic.
2. The New Work of Composing Collection really is going to change the world. (at least mine, anyway.)
3. New Computer. New operating system. Um, yay Windows 7? We’ll see.
4. New Site design.
I’m going to try to post something everyday from now on. Maybe I’ll miss a day here and there. Maybe I’ll decide not to post on weekends. I don’t know. I do know that I’m going to try to be more regular, though. And the topics above are the four most important threads in coalescing within my reflective writing practices right now. Sometimes I’ll write multiple posts in a single day. Other days I’ll not have the time. But I plan on releasing them one-per-day on a regular basis. So gear up, and get ready to read.
