National Day on Writing and the Digital Archive of Literacy Narratives

The University of Louisville’s English Department is planning to celebrate the National Day on Writing this Tuesday, October 20, from 10am to 2pm.

We’ll be celebrating by gathering literacy narratives from students, faculty, and staff from all over campus. And we will also be contributing these narratives to the National Archive of Literacy Narratives, housed at Ohio State University.

Here’s a video that Bronwyn Williams and I put together to inform faculty and students about the project.

If at all possible we hope to see you in Humanities 300 sometime between 10am and 2pm. We’ll have several stations set up to record your narrative as an audio text, a video text, a word processing file, or paper copies.

If you’ve got any tips, or questions, please let me know. Or if you’d like more information about the National Day on Writing or the Digital Archive of Literacy Narratives, I’ve provided links.
